How Do You Be So Short?

I am still here

It has been quite some time hasn't it? Well, we started school. Bla. But it's going okay really. And I get to take sewing/cooking (Home ec.) this year! That's pretty much the only one I like. I mean, it gets me new clothes, and they're required!
We did get to go shopping yesterday when we went to the Awana thing that you all hopefully read about on Caleb's blog. I even got some new shirts when we went to Mervyn's! I really like them.
Well, I don't have much to say, but maybe I'll post again when I have some good pictures to post about.

It's a first

Okay, it was August of last year that Zachary and Brenda brought me my wonderful, joyful, jumping little pup and yesterday was the first time since we've had her that she has ever been truly exhausted. On Friday she hiked with us on several geo caches and with me all around the campground. Friday night she slept in my tent right beside my mattress covered up with towels and my sweatshirt but without her cabin! (for those of you who might not know, that means her dog cage.) That was also a first. She hasn't ever slept the whole night without her cabin as far as I know. And I was so excited that she slept in my tent with me! That's the closest I've ever slept to her and it's almost like she was allowed to roam all around in the house, only it was a tent! Anyway, then the next morning she took about a thirty minute hike with Mom and me before breakfast, and did all kinds of crazy hikes with us (some minus Mom and me) for geo caches Saturday afternoon. Usually when she gets back in the car, it's only so she can pace from window to window waiting for the next cache. This time, she would get back in the car and basically collapse. On one of the hikes she just sat by Caleb while he looked inside a geo cache contanister because she was too tired to go play around. And then we even took her leash off of her on the way back and she did just fine. Mostly only sidetracking so she could sit in some shade. Just in case you're wondering, that pretty much never happens! Then when we got home all she wanted to do was nap. She just laid down in the shade and watched us unload the car as opposed to trying to escape every time we opened the gate. This morning she's still just sleeping in her chair, and apparently has no intentions of getting up anytime soon. Pretty funny stuff, I'll tell you what. So we're glad to have finally worn her out and that we have her kind of mellow for a day. :)

For Clarification

The significance of October is this: We'll get to find out if it's a boy or a girl!! Then we will be able to shop intelligently (for pink or blue). Is that correct Brenda? I hope so. I wouldn't want to tell everyone that and then be mistaken. So if I am mistaken, then leave a comment and say so. :) Caleb thinks I should say what I'm rooting for (boy or girl) but I thought I should tell everyone that I don't particularly care!! I just want to hold the cute little bundle of joy and buy it adorable little baby shoes. And clothes. Not much to say, but I was afraid that if I tried to explain just in a comment why I was looking forward to October, then not everyone would see it. And I didn't want anyone to miss out on that exciting bit of info. If it was even right.
Um, well I got a new book from the library today! It's called The Truth Seeker. It's the next one in the series by Dee Henderson. I just finished The Guardian and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes romances/mysteries. Here is a picture of it. I'm not quite sure why it also loaded the part that says "search inside" but I guess it doesn't matter. I tried to load a picture of these really cute baby shoes from oldnavy.com, but it wouldn't work which is a bummer, but oh well.

Here We Are!

Okay, so here's what's been going on:
This guy in our church (his name is Paul Crane) invited us to come visit him while he was staying at his brother's house, which is in Holly Wood! (We never really got a good view of the sign though.) His brother wasn't actually even there, but we got to swim in his pool! The house was a little weird, but it was fine. Caleb and I can't quite understand why rich people have such an interest for strange-looking art that doesn't really make sense. Oh well! The exciting part was when we got to go to Knott's Berry Farm! I had a lot of fun there. They have some good rides! I think my favorite was the Xcelerator. You start by going from zero to 80 miles per hour in 2 seconds! I also really like the Perilous Plunge. Or at least I think that's what it's called. It's kind of like the Monsoon falls that's at Six Flags Marine World, only taller and scarier! (Which is a very good thing in case you're wondering!) Then the next day we went to a museum that had old cars and stuff. As you can tell, the museum was much better than Knott's Berry Farm......... only not really. The museum was kind of cool I guess, just not half as much fun as the day before had been. So, that's pretty much all that's been happening lately. Of course we did go pick Daisy up today, which is always good. I don't know where the camera is right now, but I'll try to put pictures on the next post.
Oh, and I won't let this post slip by without saying something about the upcoming niece/nephew! I found a few things that I wanted to get for it at Knott's Berry Farm, but Dad said it would be way too long before the kid would be big enough to wear it. Bummer. Oh well, we still have lots of time to buy it cute things before it gets here. If only October could come, without the bother of school and all. :)
